We speak with Brandon Reed, founder of Loft Six Four, about differentiating space through incredibly designed outdoor amenities.
Dear No Contest Listeners,
It’s very hard to predict the future.
It wasn’t widely predictable that we’d spend 2020 inside, that our favorite online bookseller would be riding a rocket ship to space, or that we’d see a real professional baseball game played on a mythical Field of Dreams.
But some things are easily predictable.
The largest-scale shifts in consumer behaviour hit you right in the face: for example, we know that we’re headed for a world filled with electric vehicles, flexible remote work is now a forever thing, and e-sports will be more popular than many in-real-life sports.
In placemaking, we know that the role of outdoor amenities in customer acquisition and retention is growing and has no ceiling:
We want to live and work near parks and parklets.
We want private and shared outdoor spaces.
We want to hang out with friends, enjoy moments of solitude, and exercise….
….all outside, and all year round.
COVID-19 may have catalyzed this desire for green, but the movement started years ago, and it isn’t going nowhere.
One of the companies changing the game on outdoor experiences is Loft Six Four.
They approach spatial experiences through a consumer-centered lens to craft amenities (and communities) that stand out from the crowd.
Enjoy.
