EP / 009 | Sam Rosen, Deskpass: Like it or not, the office is changing

Here's where it's headed
🎧 EPISODE / 009

We speak with Sam Rosen, CEO of Deskpass, about the role of design in the future of work, innovating for a new type of office, and coworking 3.0.

Dear No Contest Listeners,

The most played real estate question in the social sphere is: what’s the future of office?

To some degree, we’re all pretending to be experts. We don’t really know.

The tenant brokers and consultants are working hard to capitalize on change. The office landlords are expanding the definition of their offerings. The people organizations are shooting laptops and remote work tools out of cannons. Even the local lunchtime hotspots are signing up for Doordash and hedging their bets.

But the one thing we do know, is that change is in the air.

The luddites, dug deep into their corner offices, are showing off their Microsoft Teams backgrounds to their juniors. The boomers who were stuck in suburban New Jersey are working from AirBnBs in Albuquerque. The cool kids who moved to Mountainview to code at Google are rethinking $6,000/month studios.

In EP 009 of No Contest, we speak to someone who knows a hell of a lot about where the office is headed, Sam Rosen, CEO of Deskpass

Sam sees that Real Estate experts are [slowly] finding value in putting people first:

“[The future of office] is about this hybrid thing. It’s about giving the choice to the employee and creating an ecosystem. The office will no longer be a singular option in the center of your work world. You are the center of your work world. Your home is the center of your work world.”

If you dabble in office, or just want to learn from a long-time workspace innovator, check out this ep. You won’t be disappointed.

Enjoy.

Everything we do and say is out of passion and love for the industry we are in and the work we are doing.
