📻 THE OCCASION

Like its name, this playlist is perfect for bunkering down in those dimly lit spaces with a book and a bourbon on the rocks. Use the cloudy skies and damp grounds as an excuse to stay in, order food, and be a hermit.

✨ WE BUILT THIS COLLECTION IN PARALLEL WITH OUR CLIENT WORK FOR BUNKER

Bunker is a subterranean bar in a multi-family community.

How do you combine a former Salvation Army building, a below-ground space, and a destination-worthy bar concept? 

We built Bunker — a satirical take on the army, with a nod to the unique physical set up. Serious vs. not-so-serious.

We designed the wordmark to illuminate the fact that we fight for peace: an arching bunker over a warped peace sign. 

We crafted the experience to make the space appropriately thought-provoking: old-school captain uniforms with local Chicago heroes, candy cigarettes, themed playing cards, and branded flasks. 

The result? A bar that stands out from the rest and fits in perfectly with the creative community.

Music is known to change how everyday people navigate through time and space. It lives on a plain beyond four walls. It evokes emotion and sets a mood. We look at music as a means to create a sense of place. Something that navigates people through the physical experience, from the time they wake up, to the time they go to bed. Everyday Music™ is an experimental project that fosters these moods, connects people to space, and builds brand through sound.

Music gives space a voice. It helps us perceive the world around us. It’s uniting. It shapes how we live, work, speak, play, and love. When we execute music well, it can have immediate effects on our feelings, communities, and spaces.

Everyday Music™ is intentional in every way. We launched this experiment to prescribe an authentic vibe and set a voice for space, from sun up to sun down. We built these collections in parallel with our client work. They’re a nod to how our client’s brands can be expressed or introduced to their customers, buildings, and communities.
